No outspoken/highly confident dark man will ever be accepted in america (BY THE MASSES), especially if he has confidence in his talent (and boasts in his ability) thats a biiiiiiiiig no no, thats really the crux of the hate ali mayweather/jon jones/anderson silva etc face... some will try to make it out to be other things or try to put light to any negative thing they can about these men, tho some may actually be angry at some of thier personal antics, the foundation of the hate these men recieve is evident.... WHETHER IT IS TRUE OR NOT TRU IN YOUR PERSONAL CASE DOES NOT MATTER, it is what it is, it will never go away its what this country was built on!!!!! its easier for some to accept ali now because hes older and sick... if he was around today fighting hed still be hated

but this does not take away from the fact that floyd is sometimes full of ish! im in no way defending everything these men do but its just a truth that is reality.

[QUOTE=Inkanyamba;14806618]Question for those who claim Floyd isn't the greatest of this era and haters alike.

Does it upset you knowing that Muhammad Ali, known as the best fighter to ever walk the face of the earth was just as hated as Floyd Mayweather is during his run? Yet is widely regarded to as the G.O.A.T.?

Is this foreshadowing? Why is it that a man so hated in the boxing community, better yet, in the entire world is widely considered the best fighter to ever step foot in a boxing ring? Ali is without a doubt the greatest fighter of all time but it took a couple years for people to acknowledge it due to the blind and emotional hatred they held for that man.

Down the line in a few years I think Mayweather will get the same recognition he deserves, despite all of the blind and emotional hatred he receives from casual boxing fans. Give or take a few years to marinate, and you'll look back at his career and see that he only took the best challenges available to him and never lost.[/QUOTE

Dont u ever mention Ali and floyd in the same sentence dummy

Did Ali batter Women ? Did Ali retire to avoid dangerous fights than return after the dust has cleared ? Did Ali avoid fighters only to fight them when they were has beens ? Did Ali act like an A$$ like Floyd ? Did Ali accuse other fighters of steroids to avoid them ? Did Ali ask Foreman for a catch weight to drain him ?You see they're nothing alike

ali slept with his opponents wives (some of them) to frustrate them, it was a known thing... Alif said some horrible things to his opponents, is floyd the first fighter or so called ATG to use a catchweight?

how do u sign a contract agreeing to all your oponents demands, and when you make your demand he walks away after contradicting himself and going crazy over a drug test, but you are the one who avoided the fight??? funny logic to me, i understand floyd contradicted himself and did all kinds of ****** ish in the following years after 2009 but the FACT remains that in 2009 (when it mattered the most) as admitted by freddie roach The fight could have happend but didnt because of pac n his team.

One thing about the "punchers" and "high risk" guys that Ali fought...they were all in his division...saying Floyd ducks fighters two weight classes above him and comparing it to what Ali did is a reach. Saying Floyd needs to fight the best 147lbers is better. Which I feel he already does...the Manny fight has to happen tho...that's this era's "Tyson vs Lewis"...fighters that missed each other's peak but still had to happen.
