But Ward doesn't want to figh, at all. Ward is ducking boxing.
    This.

I don't think Ward is the best example to use for this kind of thing, you know with his refusal to fight in his own division because there's no competition then saying there's no point in moving up to LHW either.

Double standards? I don't want to hear about his promotional problems doe. Bull**** excuses.

GGG is the most exciting fighter in boxing, Andre Ward is the dullest fighter in boxing. Keep crying Andre.

The only person Floyd has actually ducked was Manny, Sergio and GGG don't count lol ....

Also how could GGG duck someone not even in his weight class? Also isn't Ward going thru some legal issues atm? He aint challenging **** so squash this noise about people ducking Ward.

I thought he clearly stated that his immediate goal was to unify at 160.... Andre Ward will be an option in the future, assuming he ever fights again. Ward is starting to become a major disappointment.

Yea that was his goal....unless he got a shot at Chavez Jr at 168 that is. Hilarious. It's a duck. Dude was willing to go up to 168 for Jr. But not for ward. Any way u look at it Golovkin is avoiding ward. All this thread boils down to is if we like u then its ok. If we font then we crucify u.

Its cool for GGG to fight and callout 140 pounders who inflate themselves to 154 and in Cotto's case to 160lb for glory and legacy but GGG clearly ducks Ward after making statements that he would clear out anyone up to 168?

BS. Its a clear and evident DUCK.

What 140lb fighter has GGG called out? Do you mean Miguel who happens to be a champion in the same division as GGG?

It makes no difference if you started at 140, if you fight at middleweight and hold a title at middleweight, you are a middleweight.

Golovkin wants to unify 160 - He's asked for Quillin, he's asked for Sergio, he's asked for Soliman and now Miguel....where's the problem?

We, who defend GGG's "duck", understand the risk part very well. We KNOW GGG would be a sizeable underdog against Ward.
I said people are ignoring it, not that people don't know. They tip toe around around as much as possible to keep up appearance. It's "focusing on 160 doe" "Ward isn't a draw doe" "Ward brings no money doe" "X imaginary fight will pay more than Ward doe" "Ward ducking Kovalev doe" "Ward is boring doe"
It's rare for the golovkin defense force to acknowledge the big reason. "The're scared of losing."

They also severally understate the reward. Even money aside, people act as if beating Ward wouldn't mean anything. The fact is that Ward is about the only marquee name that has show interest in fighting Golovkin. And if Golovkin wants to be the next Pacquiao, being the #2 fighter after Mayweather will go a long way for his popularity.

And we are not saying Ward wouldn't likely be a career high payday for him.
The very first reply was about that.

                  1) This is probably the first time I have heard of a fighter ducking someone who is in a different weight class.
For me at least, this is not about Golovkin necessarily ducking. It's about selling himself as a guy who would fight anyone at 168, but then backtracking. Using Ward's name since day 1 to sell himself as a fearless monster that would fight anyone until he was called out on it and it stopped being convenient. And then somewhere a long the line Ward became the ******* for responding to his challenge.

                  2) To those who say Ward is the A-side: if you are the one calling for the fight, you are not the A-side. Ever heard of an A-side begging the B-side to fight him?
What begging? Golovkin called out Ward, and Ward responded. It's been maybe in a 2-3 interviews where Ward mentioned Golovkin after he was asked about it.

Sergio and GGG were/are willing to come down to 154. Is Ward willing to come down to 160?

And, no, Ward isn't ducking Kovalev.

Isn't it about time that ward move up to 175 and fights kovolev.he has already cleared out 168. Golovkin hasn't cleared out 160'yet..

Why is ward, after clearing out his division, still hanging around and wanting smaller guys to move up...
I don't know tsk tsk tsk.

If Mayweather can be said to be ducking Gennady or Martinez, then surely Gennady as the smaller guy can be said to be ducking Andre Ward.

After all, a challenge is a challenge.
