If Cotto does not fight the good boy, is it a duck.

Its only a duck If he fights some pointless fight instead of GGG...
A fight with Canelo I can understand but a fight with the winner of Jarrod Fletcher and whoever else?
    Yeah you get the point.

Cotto only went to middleweight for Sergio I don't see him hanging around there.

Of course. Cotto is the lineal MW champion, Golovkin is the generally considered best MW and his main threat. When the champ doesn't fight his main threat, that's a duck.

That being said, I wouldn't hold it against Cotto unless he fights someone else at MW and still won't fight Golovkin.

Cotto is on the tail end of his career. Right now a fight between him and Canelo is much more lucrative than a fight with GGG. Now if fighting GGG was more lucrative than fighting Canelo or Chavez Jr and Cotto chose one of them instead, I would call it a duck. Cotto is not one to duck. I think his resume speaks for itself.

It's a duck, so sick of these fighters wining belts at weight class they don't belong in and think they don't have to fight the best in the division. Wining belts don't mean crap if you don't fight the best in the division. Cotto sham accomplishment will be short lived no matter who fights

I don't see it as a duck because we all know he's not going to fight GGG and the only reason he did a gig at 160 was because there was a lot of money on the line and Martinez was shot.

Simple. He's going back down to fight Canelo probably.

That's where I am with it.

It's only a duck if he starts campaigning at MW without fighting GGG.

That's the problem right their with fighters of today. People think this is normal way for a fighter to act. You win a belt defended it against the best in the division,I don't want to hear this crap about it's the end of his career or Iam the "A" side I can do what I want BS. Why waste people times with match ups that are not going to happen. Fighters need to stay at their weight where they belong or put up and fight the best

How much do ye reckon Cotto would pull in if he split the purse 50/50 with canelo as opposed to say 75-25 with GGG.? No idea myself just wondering.
