160 has a few names that make the division interesting, Quillin, Cotto, GGG, and Canelo will eventually have to move up. The division hasn't been cleaned out yet, this means GGG shouldn't have to move up just so Cotto fans can sleep easier at night.

Cotto is not a middleweight. No way he goes after a prime natural middleweight in Golovkin. His best bet is going back down to 154 and fighting Canelo which is the smart thing to do for health and financial reasons.

Ordinarily I'd say Cotto is too small to fight Golovkin, but he is now the reigning middleweight champion of the world. If he expects anyone to respect and recognise his title, he must be willing to face all fighters within that weight class.
