Kessler was not that highly rated in the overall scheme of things, though of course much higher than prospect Ward. Remember after he got outclassed by Calzaghe he fought some bums, got hurt by one, sat out with promotional issues, then came back and looked bad vs Colombian bum.

Froch is his best scalp and the only one who might make the HOF. But many Ward fans here don't think much of him. In any case beating Froch in your own division doesn't compare to going up a division to fight p4p #2 Ward, right?

Man, I think Ward's resume is a bit overrated, but there's no dispute it's way better than GGG's, for one. Froch, Kessler might not have been top p4p, but way higher than anyone GGG's beaten, and would trample any GGG opponent h2h.

Please stop. Stevens couldn't beat Brinkley, though did make Dirrell **** his pants. Geale goes neck to neck with Sturm, Barker, Mundine, guys Froch would blast in short order.

I don't know who doesn't think much of Froch but I'm not one of them. I also think much more of Calzaghe's skill than a lot of people do. So I wasn't overly critical of Kessler for losing to him. I wasn't confident in Ward's chances against Kessler at the time but he proved that he is the real deal.

                      That's just too ******.

With that said....shouldnt Ward be moving up? There's is nothing for him at 168. Go to 175. Ward is a massive waste with zero ambition other than wait for 160rs. He should be a Haymon fighter.

GGG is not even the lineal champ at 160 and is not even that big.

But he could pull a Guerrero and make noise. Risky though.
