Pitiful conditioning, no accuracy, no work rate, none existing jab or combos!
He is a B- class fighter who belongs in 8 to 10 round prelim fights for guys coming up who need to be tested by a bull rushing, hugging, no power short guy!
No offense to the young man but his efforts are poor and for all he's been through in his life you'd think he'd put his ballz down when the bell rings.
    I guess not!
    ray.

He lost because he stopped fighting halfway through. I don't know if it was a mental thing or his conditioning or both. He certainly didn't look committed or in any kind of shape.

He's right that the deduction was terrible, though.

Am I the only one who thought saw the foul & thought the deduction was warranted??? Mike hit him w/ a double head butt...pushed his head back & punched on the break all at once. The **** was clear as day. How could it not be a foul. On top of that the ref had been talking to both guys about conduct ALLLL night. I dunno wut the telcast was talking about. It was a good call. & I like both fighters. But Mike let fatigue force him into a bad decision.

What a line of b.s. NO accuracy? NO work rate? NO power? Hey, the guy did have a bad night, he could stand to be in better shape, slept most of the 2nd half of the fight. But to say he's a gatekeeper and he did NOTHING is pure ignorant b.s.

And the point deduction was pure b.s.

There are moments when boxers get frustrated and do several fouls in sequence. The guy (Rojas?) that did it to Arce head butted him, threw a very low punch and hit him in the back. The truth is that boxers expect to be warned few times before the referee attempts to discount any point and to lose by DQ they need to do it many more times.

Perez is clearly a better fighter than Jennings but I've got no sympathy for him here. Like the other Cuban, Odlanier Solis, Mike just can't be bothered to get himself into proper shape. Jennings' limitations were exposed in the early rounds but he kept at it and I thought he deserved the nod even without the point deduction for Perez.

It was an all around sad spectacle of heavyweight boxing for sure. I can't say whether it was clear that the ref gave Perez proper warning before deducting the point but nevertheless, I think his excessive holding and riding Jennings to the ropes during the second half of the fight warranted a point deduction. Perez can be upset about the decision all he wants but truth be told, you don't win a fight by running out of gas at the half way point. I don't think the victory was impressive for Jennings either. Neither guy would be a problem for Vlad or even Stiverne I wouldn't think. Perez only has himself to blame and Jennings better be ready for whatever comes next because a step up in class for him could be real trouble.

I scored it for Perez and I was rooting hard for Bryant. Scored it by one point but don't care. Could've gone either way. Perez didn't fight hard enough even though he had more skill. Blame yourself like others are saying. You knew you weren't doing enough to make sure. You've been around the block. Either you didn't care enough or you physically couldn't because you were out of shape. Either way blame yourself. You were better than what you showed, Mike. Much better.
