Come on guys, I am huge Golovkin fan, but it's pretty obvious that Kovalev is the bigger puncher just based on size alone. Nothing wrong with that, they are in different division for a reason, and they are both big punchers. Also, Kovalev knocked out Agnew with a jab to the body if I remember correctly.

So did Ray Mancini, and he was never considered a huge puncher.

      Excellent The Wire quote, btw

GGG by a small amount. Can't hate on someone thinking killa kov is the best.

Wish there was video of their sparring sessions.

Kovalev is a big puncher, one of the hardest punches I've seen in a long time.

He is probably the biggest puncher in the LHW division since... hell... Bob Foster?

They both are enormous punchers. And to think that, about five years ago, Emmanuel Stewart said that boxing didn't have any REAL punchers fighting at the high level.

Kovalev probably has more natural power, it's just that GGG is more accurate and has better timing and positioning so it evens it out.

Stevenson might hit harder than both.

Golovkin P4P punches harder than Kovalev, also GGG has apparently knocked him down in sparring, Abel has said numerous times Kovalev was too hesistant to engage Gennady in sparring due to his power. Finally, there are multiple interviews (in Russian) which Kovalev speaks very highly of Golovkin and his power.

It's quite obvious, at least to me that Golovkin > Kovalev in most categories, including power.

He does fight two weight classes higher. A LHW knocking out a MW shouldn't surprise anybody.

Has to be Kovalev at 175lbs. Golovkin is only 160 pounder, we don't know if his power will bring up with him at higher weight classes.
