Sorry but Cotto ducking GGG would make his resume take a huge hit.

It would only take a hit with the deluded "fans" that already **** on his resume as it is. Cotto is a first ballot HOF, first Puerto Rican to win titles in 4 different weight classes, and has taken on all comers. He's a class act in this sport and earned it all the hard way.

GGG's rising star will not diminish simply because Cotto did not fight him. GGG will continue to have a great career whether Cotto fights him or not. This whole duck nonsense only serves to satisfy the petty self satisfaction of internet keyboard warriors that would never do the hard work and sacrifice that these two guys put into their craft.

GGG has tons of respect for Cotto as a fighter and as a champion. He understands that a fight with Cotto would be huge for him, but I can guarantee that GGG wouldn't say anything negative about Cotto should that fight not come off. He understands the game and where Cotto is at in his career.

Cotto has enough credit in the bank. So beit if he does duck GGG. He has never ducked anyone else in his career and if he decides he is simply NOT a middleweight, I am sure Cotto can live with that.

Add Klitscho to the list of bigger fighters Cotto will not be facing.

I love cotto , but come on what is it with the Klit/Kov duck BS example ? he Cotto is the rainning undisputed WBC MW Champion of the world with the Ring Lineal title as well , you want to tell me its not in reason to ask him to defend it against MW`s ? not even taking GGG into account (which i think you should but whatever) , let him fight some other good MW then , the fact he just grabs it , sits on it , and then sells it to floyd in september , or defend against 147 guys is what makes ppl hate on him , he did great winning it not let it go , no shame in it.

If he wants to go back to a lower division no duck and its totally understandable but if he fights other MWs or some CW between 154-160 its a blatant duck. The problem is that he has not made his intent clear.
