It's simply not the nature of the business for a famous, a-side fighter like Fury to take on an in-shape fighter like Ustinov because his opponent withdrew. Commendable as it would be, it's just not done.

Last time I remember it happening in the heavyweight division in a big fight was Lewis-Klitschko. Not a good day at the office for Lennox.

Dont blame Fury for pulling out, but they should have just cancelled the card.
I agree with everything you say, I just don't like the uncle excuse. Ustinov was no ordinary last minute replacement, so tell it like it is. That fight deserves better promotion and better pay all around. I could respect that type of logic.

It's the uncle that was his first trainer, but not the current one I'm pretty sure..

Seems like a cop out just hours before a fight...

I liked fury a lot and love what he brings to the sport, but he just pulled a david haye

I think between Ustinov showing up in shape (quite frankly looking more dangerous than Chisora), and the likelyhood that lots of tickets were returned (British fans seem to prefer vastly prefer domestic rivalries for whatever reason), Fury realized he could possibly take the first loss of his career while being paid pennies on the dollar.

Perhaps his uncle really is sick and if so I wish him well, but I can't imagine he suddenly became this sick hours before the fight.

Fury can come back. It's always hard to remember he's only 25 (partially because he looks 35). This is a very embarrassing move considering the Haye/Chisora storylines, but he has much more ahead of him than they do.

Oh, and why be civil or mature with a couple of knumbskulls?
How do you know if I may ask? His father, John and his Uncle Peter have been in and out of Prison for most of Tyson's life, so how do you know whether he has a close relationship with his uncle?

You call us knumbskulls, but the mere fact that you try and call someone out for not fighting when his uncle has been attacked and was close to dying, is just inhumane.

Tyson Fury is the biggest ****** coward in boxing. He is nothing but mouth and is **** talent. He is an irish traveling ****** ***** coward. I CANNOT stand that mf sob. I can't wait for someone to put his garbage ass to sleep. He knew he was going to get his ass beat and pulled out like a ****** with some bs excuse. He will keep running his mouth until Wlad retires or is too old to beat anyone before he steps in the ring with him. I'd love to see Deontay put this coward to sleep. Listen to Fury's mouth...he has not went after 1 person ranked in the top 10, nor runs his mouth to challenge them. He fights a blown up cruiser in Cunningham and almost gets koed by a guy who couldnt bust a g**** at HW. Tyson beats no one in the top ten, period. He is a irish ***** bum sideshow attraction, nothing more.

Fury can file his uncle's medical report right next to Haye's for his messed up toe. Which is right next to Haye's mythical medical report for his broken hand in the Valuev fight.
