There are tons of differences between the two, but one thing I will always give the nod to Floyd over Ali but not over certain other fighters, is Floyd is a better pure boxer than Ali was, that's irrelevant here, but just saying. As a Floyd fan, it does bother me he never fought Margarito, or DLH in a rematch. I don't put too much stock into catchweight drama, or much of the other stuff, it's one thing to be critical, it's another to just be ******.

      The Rumble In The Jungle...

I will never forget the look on Ali's face , after he really tasted Foreman's power....

After he knocked him out a few rounds later, I said he must be the greatest...

      Ahh the memories

ali did fight in and epitomize the golden years of boxing..

floyd is the face of boxing today...

sadly, boxing today is beset with bad and very embarrassing situations....

        situations that floyd contributed much...

        to the detriment of boxing...

One is "The Greatest" the other is trying to convince people he's the best.

They were both disliked but Ali was much more clever with his insults.

the gloves debacle is just the latest in a long list of ducks/stipulations/advantages/handicaps that floyd adds which will take from his atg standing when all is said and done.

When somebody mentions leonard, ali, duran, robinson, louis etc etc nobody talks about cherry picking, handicapping opponents, catchweights etc etc nobody says oh yeah if only ali had fought the most dangerous guy in his era rather than ducking him etc etc
              Ok then....

well, i can say casius clay is a much better boxer than floyd....

he really was a sight to behold floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee...

he could even predict what round he will finish off his opponents...

truly amazing...offense and defense flowing smoothly like a symphony...

as he evolve to become ali, he already lost a step on this regard...but still is considered the greatest boxer of all time...

                and rightly so....

People don't realize how pure of a boxer he was to be a heavyweight...

A heavyweight sugar ray Robinson was what he really was, without the one punch power, but he not just outpointed guys, but ko'd or tko'd a lot of world class heavyweights...

For me its when "fans" use the word "hate"!!! This kid elroy/tooool/ whatever only posts when its about degrading great fighters. He is a troll looking to get a scrap going on line because his life is pathetic and his disrespect for the men who actually participate in the sport has become a disgrace.
Why is this punk azz kid still allowed to degrade men like Ali & Frazier?

Disliking a style or not appreciating a method is one thing to continuously "hate" is a serious problem to me.
I don't think Mayweather or Wlad are ATG and many do but I don't hate on either athlete and I do give them their props for their successes.

Isn't anyone else sick of the forum becoming a babysitters house?
