I dislike Ali as a man for the racist **** he said about Joe Lewis and Joe Frazier but I HELLA respect him as a fighter....

DON'T EVER put Mayweather's name in the same Paragraph...

Ali fought THE BEST PERIOD. He wasn't no ***** crying about "I'm a rich coward" or "my health come first".

I think ali cared about making the fights with everybody he felt would define his career, I don't think Mayweather cared as much

I think Ali was fearless, whereas Mayweather is more safety first, their styles and what actually comes out their mouths reflect that..

Ali didn't make excuses, enough said

I think Ali is the greatest that I have witnessed, and Floyd might be the best of his era

Ali knew how to be great. Floyd doesn't have the slightest clue

                Ali a punching bag.
Was roy a punching bag.is floyd getting hit more now???

                Watch ali and roys prime.
                Untouchable
Ask floyd where he gets that adaption style from .

                Questions for you experts
1.who is the equivalent of a priime foreman and fraizer?

For the idiot who said this is the best era. Your a newbie
This is actually the worst era in boxing history.
Its watered down with marginal talent

The best do not fight the best, peds come into play now because fighters have been caught
Fighters retire and go on vacation to avoid fights. Fighters make other fighters wear sparring gloves for their health (handicap)

Dont even go there. This era is garbage . The 80',70' 60's and 50's . Best eras. Real fighters fight win or lose . Ali said it himself if your undefeated you didmnnt fight everyone.

If this era is so garbage than why do you still watch? Even to the point of posting on forums and noticing out of the gym details?

the biggest difference between floyd and ali is floyd fights for the benefit of himself and those closest to him while ali fought for the benefit of mankind.

as for ali taking on all comers, it wasnt just him. fights were easier to make in general back then. some of the credit and blame respectively goes to ali and floyd but its also a case of the industry changing over time.

floyd does business the same way as everyone else these days, he just gets more flack for it.

edit: are people really knocking these guys resumes? both guys have great resumes (obviously), anyone who cant see that simply doesnt know boxing.

the biggest problem with this thread is even mentioning ali and floyd in the same breath.

indeed anybody who call floyd tbe is insulting the sport of boxing and ali and many other greats in general.

the gloves debacle is just the latest in a long list of ducks/stipulations/advantages/handicaps that floyd adds which will take from his atg standing when all is said and done.

When somebody mentions leonard, ali, duran, robinson, louis etc etc nobody talks about cherry picking, handicapping opponents, catchweights etc etc nobody says oh yeah if only ali had fought the most dangerous guy in his era rather than ducking him etc etc
