There are not many fights enticing enough for WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (29-0, 26KOs) to drop down to 154-pounds - but the chance to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) is certainly the most desired by Golovkin, according to trainer Abel Sanchez.
If Golovkin is unable to secure the big fights at middleweight, he may explore his options in other weight divisions. Later tonight at New York's Madison Square Garden, Golovkin will get his toughest test to date when he faces two-time middleweight champion Daniel Geale (30-2, 16KOs) in an HBO televised fight.
