According to Floyd fans a fighter should look for the best money option. From Golovkin's perspective this would involve a fight against Mayweather.

By the way, if fighter doesn't feel like he can take on all comers in a division where he holds a title he should relinquish his belt.

But Floyd has been able to outbox and out move many opponents without needing power to do so.

I can see Floyd outboxing GGG. But can he go 12 without getting hurt? I think its highly possible.
GGG is heavy handed, but he needs to get close. Floyd has dealt with better boxers with power and not been hurt at all.


It says a lot about "TBE" that when a real challenge is proposed, we all immediately say "Floyd wont take that fight".

I think it's a bit different in this case. I think Golovkin would use his natural advantages against Floyd instead of trying to outbox him some people do (Canelo). I also don't think Floyd would go 12 rounds without getting hurt. Much to many people's surprise, Maidana managed to catch him with a lot of hard shots. Now imagine if that was Golovkin. That'd be the kind of punishment that, win or lose, it's gonna physically show on Floyd before the fight is over.

Depends how GGG makes the weight , the weight could easily take away his power and stamina , you guys look at gennady knocking over contender type guys with a 160 weighin , look at his body at todays weighin where is the 6lb gunna come from and Floyd aint no contender .

Floyd cannot possibly beat a full blown middleweight of GGGs power and quality so quit trying to pump up GGG beating up Floyd who is way smaller .

If GGG is drained by 154 Floyd would box his ears off , if he makes the weight no problems he is too big and too powerful , I think its a BS fight as far as boxing is concerned and would rather see great fighters be great in their weight class instead of a bunch of fanboy haters wanting Floyd to fight bigger and bigger guys all the time , all they want is for somebody to beat him , its pathetic when the same fanboys praise Manny fighting 140lb guys and GGG wanting non of the 168s , the bias in here is unbelievable .

Wouldn't you want a boxer to be 100% by fight night? If he makes the weight no problems, then that's actually a GOOD thing. Also, why would you be upset if people want Floyd to fight somebody like Golovkin? Floyd's got a 154 belt so what's wrong with somebody coming down to 154 to fight him? That's nothing to lose your cool over.

Besides, having enough guts to stand up against a feared, power puncher like Golovkin when people even in his own weight class wouldn't do it would actually HELP Floyd's image and it's a risk worth taking if he wants to be "TBE".
