he's a good size MW & if cotto brings anything less than 10% he'll have real fight on his hands...he won't go down as ezy as Sergio...

Why is this bum still around? I saw him get his head ripped off by a journeyman named Kofi Jantuah a long time ago. It kills me that he still is a #1 contender

          I have no interest in Cotto/Rubio fight... I want Cotto/Canelo, Cotto/Chavez jr & Cotto/GGG.

i can't remember exactly how it went down, other than it being a one sided ass kicking. rubio did absolutely nothing. i haven't seen that fight in a while. boxrec says he retired in between rounds.

he's not a tune up for rubio. all rubio has going for him is size. it's a winnable fight for cotto.

cotto is a tune up for only one middleweight, and that's gennady golovkin. people would call it a cherrypick. golovkin and cotto do not belong in the same ring. the good boy would feed on cotto. he'd never fight again.

Sorry Rubio, you're not getting your shot. No way bro...... I doubt Cotto even fights GGG at 160 let alone your monkey ass.

The reason he's still around is because the WBC ****ed up. When he fought Chavez, there was no drug testing for Chavez after the fight. Team Rubio challenged it, took them to court and won so the WBC was forced to give him back his #1 challenger spot, which makes him Cotto's mandatory.

So if Rubio pursues this, Cotto will either have to fight him, drop his WBC belt or hope that Rubio accepts some step aside money. It's a big problem that won't go away unfortunately.

It was the Pavlik fight. Rubio probably got a better chin than Cotto though. Hasn't lost since Chavez jr, he took big ass Chavez's shots all night at that. Cotto ought to fight em but I do understand that big money at this stage of Cotto's career. Veneno is a strong dude

Yeah, that's what I would do.. I would take the cash every time and demand to be on the undercard vs some bum, so you get paid twice.. Eventually a champ will want to milk his title and give Rubio a shot..
