U can tell roach didnt want this fight cuz he knows what its gunna make pac look like but hey when daddy bob talks lil boy pac listens an anybody sayin this is a good fight is pac fan period just like the rios fight ur supposed to be one of the best p4p yet u go after a 140 pounder who has 1 name under his belt an that 1 name isnt even elite!!!!!

I don't think Roach doesn't want this fight because it will make Manny look bad, but this fight can't make Manny look good. It's really a no win situation. If Algeri does a Lara, and the fight goes the distance, it doesn't make Manny look good, which at this point is almost like a loss. Just look at Floyd. Maidana beat him up, and made Floyd look bad. Floyd won, but no one really cares because Floyd is expected to dominate Maidana. The only thing that can help Manny is a KO, and even then, critics will say "he beat the Jr. Welterweight champ at a CW, so who cares?"

Possible, but very unlikely. He doesn't seem to have the same freakish power he had in the past. I think stylistically, this is a risky fight. And oddly enough, Algieri doesn't even deserve the fight.

Hey guys,ALGIERI with one eye and two kds suffered he found a way to beat by decision a MONSTER like PROVODNIKOV,the guy can take punishment it's not a easy fight at all!!!
If MANNY was the PAC-MAN of 2009 no problem about a win by stoppage but now he get caught too many by straight hand and ALGIERI has long arms,good jab and footwork...(best combo:short jab,left uppercut and straight right hand),MANNY will have to find a way to shine or the night will become a long night IMO. THIS FIGHT IS MORE LEGIT THAN VICTOR ORTIZ vs XYLOCAINE JR.!!!
