Maidana is an old school fighter, a throwback fighter.

I watched Maidana vs Ortiz live (why i became a fan) and to this day its the loudest i have heard from a punch or from the crowds reactions. Maidana landed a massive shot at the end of the 5th as well and the noise was incredible, then the crowd were talking about it for the next 3 mins. Ortiz then quit about a min later ha.

Maidana is everything what is good about Boxing pure entertainment, pure savagery and even some intelligence to go with the madness now. War Maidana !!!!

This is the only era I've seen where losing to a guy is laying a blueprint on how to beat them.

Loaded doesn't think Maidana lost to Floyd.

I actually had Floyd ahead the night of the fight and called it a draw after rewatching it, but I call him the blueprint to get a rise out of the Floyd fans who aren't objective, which pretty much means all of them but myself.

So i was right ha, I tell you what though, his style, attitude, game plan, whatever you call it actually kinda was the blueprint, at least for a 37 aged Floyd. Canelo and RG let Floyd dictate the pace, it was easy for Floyd, Maidana didn;t let Floyd have it easy and won't in the rematch.

I'll make a prediction, maidana will be used to the gloves, as he will spar in them, he does as well or even better in the rematch and drops Floyd at some point.

How the hell does people reacting to Maidana being called the blueprint deem them not objective?

Anyone who highlights that losing a fight doesn't equal a blueprint makes them not objective?

Maidana lost and the vast majority agree with that. Calling that person "The Blueprint" is ridiculous no matter what the reason is. And your reason is pretty illogical aswell.

I didn't say it did, I just said I like getting a rise out of the hard nuthuggers, and those people are not objective.

There is no logic behind it, other than my amusement, lol.

But if we really want to analyze things and break them down, like true boxing fans, then there is truth in what shenmue is saying, he did lay a foundation for how to be successful against Floyd, he didn't win, but that doesn't mean we can't take things away from the fight. We saw his jab trouble Floyd, we saw counters, we saw effective pressure, we saw feints control movement against Floyd, we also saw Floyd lose control of the fight in the center of the ring at times, these arae things to build on.

Guys like Maidana have been around forever, it's not like he is bringing anything back..

Mayorga was the Maidana before Maidana

Old school, the action fighters got all the big fights because it was live gate era and you had to sell tickets, once tv and PPv money started rolling in, you saw more defensive boxers reaching the top...

But guys like Maidana are nothing new
