Good win for Gomez, didn't get the stoppage but paris has decent skills and was basically fighting to salvage his career so maybe nobody stops a guy who is thinking along those lines. Maybe Gomez saw that and just kept compsure...the moment paris took that deep breath in the 12 he jumped on him so i figure gomez had more in him. he prob was just staying responsible with the big lead

GBP should put Gomez in with Michael Perez or Fidel Maldonado Jr. in his next fight. And before a title shot, Frankie Gomez vs. Humberto Soto.

Frankie Gomez vs. Antonio Orozco would be good too, but I doubt GBP would match up two young, undefeated prospects.

Paris has a ton of toughness. Unfortunately, he's lacking in every other area. I don't think I've ever seen someone with such bad defense against the southpaw stance. The year layoff probably didn't help matters either, but he also had trouble against Zab's stance. It turned out to be an entertaining one-sided bout.
