I thought he was talented but overrated as hell because he was untested. The fact that people were calling the next Mayweather was a joke. Imagine what a 22-23 year old Mayweather would have done to do a guy like PDL. Broner looked clueless against him and he clearly lost.
What was your scorecard for this fight?

      why do people dislike him?

because he hypes himself up for being better than he actually is?

he jumped up 2 weight classes and fought maidana, stood there and showed tremendous heart and disgraceful people threw stuff at him and broner wont be fighting in texas again and rightly so
The main reason is because he tries to copy Floyd. Anything, and I mean anything associated with Floyd gets extreme hatred. That's how obsessed Floyd detractors are.

As for me, I don't hate the guy, but I find his antics annoying. I also didn't like HBO hyping the hell out of him before he was actually tested.

My scorecard was identical to Lederman. 96-94, 6-4 PDL.

        PDL won rounds 1 2 3. Broner won rounds 4 5 6 7. PDL won rounds 8 9 10.

Broner didn't deserve to win on many occasions, I'll need to rescore some of the fight but I definitely had him losing against
          Paulie Malinaggi
          Fernando Quintero
          Ponce De Leon

Out of the worst robberies I genuinely believe the Quintero one was easily the worst.

PDL was worse. PDL clearly won and one judge scored it 9 rounds to 1 for Broner. NINE ROUNDS for Broner. That might be one of the worst scores I've ever seen

The Quintero fight to me was a legit draw.

Right I thought so, so you scored it 96-94 for Ponce but it was a clear loss for Broner?

it was a close fight, could have gone either way. I agree 99-91 for Broner was too wide.

The rounds that Broner lost, I don't see how anyone can make the argument that he won any of those.

That is the case when you are looking for rounds to give to the opponent.

Watch the rounds you thought Broner lost with an open mind and you will see many of them were close.

MY opinion of Broner Pre Maidana fight was that he was in trouble vs Maidana because of a few reasons.

Low output,Flat footed, getting hit a lot and lacking legit WW power. This was OK at SFW and LW where he held all the advantages, these guys were smaller than him, less powerful that he didn't mind getting hit by them.

The response i got to this was "don't be silly, he fought like that because he didn't fear the power, he will move more vs Maidana, put on a clinic, easy work". My response was if he fights the same way and i see no reason why he won't, no proof that he can fight any different is that Maidana will hurt, drop and stop Broner, he isn't fighting Rees or Paulie this time guys.

2 out of 3 wasn't bad ha, Broner to me fights better when he is the aggressor, when he lets his hands guy. Problem is he is far too often not throwing enough, far too lazy. he can still have a decent career but i don't it will be at WW and i have my doubts he can beat big punching LWW with the style he currently has. He looked great at LW where he held the upper hand but not sure he can make that weight anymore.
