Always thought he was rubbish. Hated his personality afterwards too.

Without exaggeration like 95% of this site was on his nuts and thought Chino would get Gatti'd, I was in that 5% and anyone who dares call me out on that we can go bumping old threads with a quickness, 'wraps always posts toe to toe.

The Demarco fight got me, too. I actually thought Demarco could have beaten him. So when Broner won like he did, I jumped on the train -- didn't really come back off of it until the Pauli fight.

Never fell for that "Next Mayweather" crap. He arguably lost to Quintero, Ponce, the same guy who was stopped by JuanMa and Mares, was easy to hit by Rees, struggled with Paulie who Porter blasted out, and got ripped a new one by Maidana. He acted like he was too big for his britches and it turns out they were too big for him. He can still become a champ if he dedicates himself but as long as he remains an a$$hole, he will not get adoration or respect from fans.

I thought he could be a real good fighter, not the next mayweather but darn good. Like most I thought that Demarco fight was a thing of beauty. The Rees fight kinda had me looking at him in another light although to me it really did look like he was just letting Rees do his thing cause he knew the guy couldn't hurt him. I think Harold Letterman said something to that effect. Then when he felt like it he stepped on the gas and got Rees out of there. The Paulie fight had me shaking my head at this kid cause he was showing no improvement whatsoever in his game. This dude really does need his own identity.

But it didn't pan out. Broner is fighting the wrong style. Atheltic? Yes. Idiot? Yes.

As you said man he's definitely fighting the wrong style. He needs to stick to his strength which is his offensive game but I don't think he believes in his conditioning. Either that or his conditioning really is crap. I remember seeing an interview with Paulie before their fight and Paulie saying back in the day Broner used to ask him how he went so many rounds without gassing.

I think Broner won some of the middle rounds, PDL won't by a point IMO.
