I agree with you on everything but not on Tarver (a blown-up Light-Heavy). Thompson would have brought it to him most definitely, but his uncle wisely deaded that option, LOL. But it would have been hilarious if he fought Tarver & got dropped though....Fury's pure BS. He's never fought anyone with credibility. Tarver & Thompson both offered to step in for Chisora, at very late notice, but Fury opted for the very slow and limited Ustinov. Neither Tarver/Thomposn are that great but they represented a chance to step up to the next level. Fury talks out of his Pu5$y!Comment

thompson looked terrible in losing a lopsided decision in his last fight. wouldnt have made any sense to fight him. hes old and shotComment

Ustinov is rated in the top ten by the WBA and the IBF. Wilder has never fought anybody rated in the top 30 by any organisation.
If Wilder fought Ustinov people would call it a big step up for him. People who know about boxing, that is.Comment

He made Pulev look terrible too, which is probably why they didn't want him for this fight. He wouldn't have a hope of beating Fury, but might have messed him around and made him look bad the way he did with Pulev.
Ustinov will be easier to handle if Fury plays it right, but far more dangerous if he plays it wrong.Comment

Except that Fury ducked Wilder.

I got a call two days ago from Tyson Fury’s promoter, Mick Hennessy, asking me if there would be any interest in Deontay Wilder fighting Tyson Fury, and I said, ‘Yes, there is,’ and then I said, ‘make me an offer, and he was not prepared to make me an offer to fight Fury,” said Schaefer of Fury, whose bout with Haye was called off after the former titleholder underwent surgery in Germany on Thursday morning (Nov. 14) to reconstruct his right shoulder.
“So then I said, ‘Well, you know what we can do? We can just split it 50-50 and we’ll get it done. Then he said, ‘Well, let me talk to Sky [Sports channel in England] and I will get back to you. Well, that was two days ago. So I tried to reach him yesterday and he didn’t answer his phone or call me back. So what I think has happened is that he must have talked to his matchmaker and they must have realized that Tyson Fury has no chance, and I think that they must have changed their minds because, all of a sudden, it has become very, very quiet. It’s as if the telephone lines between the United States and the UK suddenly don’t work.”Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer was not amused by Tyson Fury's recent social network rant on Deontay Wilder (28-0, 28 KOs). Fury (21-0, 15KOs) poked fun at Wilder's first round stoppage of Audley Harrison from last Saturday night in Sheffield. After the technical knockout of Audley, both Wilder and Schaefer called for a fight with Fury, but the Irish boxer was not impressed with the victory.
"I did reach out to his promoter and they said he supposedly has all of these other options," Schaefer told BoxingScene.com.
According to Fury's promoter Mick Hennessey, they are looking at a fight with undefeated Kubat Pulev, which the IBF has ordered as a final eliminator. However, Schaefer is ready to offer Fury more money to step in the ring with Wilder.
"How much is he going to make in that fight? If he wants to make some money, then he can fight Deontay. But it's okay, there plenty of other guys out there for Deontay. I understand. If I was Mick Hennessey...this is like his last guy standing and if I was him I wouldn't want to put my guy in with Deontay Wilder either," Schaefer said.Comment

I find it rather hilarious how Fury fans are trying to justify Ustinov. My opinion is that he is a huge turd and an old turd at that. And go figure, some of Fury's most loyal fans are already making excuses for him.Comment
