Yea it sure was . He turned back the clock that night and embarrassed dude something awful. And that was a washed up Jones. Imagine if Lacy met Jones prime for prime? We're looking at a mid-round KO.

At least Duran wasn't getting brutally ko'd by every fighter with a pulse..late 30s and beyond Duran was giving hell to Barkley, Vinny Paz, camacho

Yeah I agree,, those are some of his greatest wins

(other than his family)
When jones lost tarver 3, I knew he was never gonna reclaim glory.. He seemed to fight just to survive and not to win.. By calzaghe, I thought he should just retire..joe best the hell out if him and was making him look horrible

Tarver 1 was a great win,, Roy showed huge heart, something that was really never tested before in his career..
Tarver was a man possessed and Roy beat him.. You can't say it wasn't a great win

I think he would have won titles, would have loved to seen him vs jirov or toney around that time at cruiser
Jirov would have given him his toughest fight, toney would have got schooled again by Roy, just too flat footed to ever catch Roy

I agree, great fight for Roy, first time his heart and will to win were tested

I agree,, lacy was so shot and not good, that he made Roy look like it was 1994 all over again...
Roy dropped like 8 left hooks in a row..

That's what I mean by he was supposed to lose. But he somehow found something in reserve to pull it out. I knew that **** was not flying in a rematch and tabbed him to lose. To see Roy on his back damn near broke my heart. I vowed never to choose against him again, which has made for some embarrassing picks. **** it, I'll still take him over anyone else in a fantasy matchup and my only regret is that he was never in Knockout Kings.
Ah, he's another fantasy king lol

Roy was one of the greatest boxers to ever enter the ring. Anybody who doesn't know needs to watch the fights.

But he is past that and will get killed now. The heavier divisions are championed by killer punchers of the highest calibre, any championship contention is only ever gonna be on a "niche" basis of course...

Give it up Roy... Your reputation precedes you!!!

Yeah, a fantasy king, whatever that means. Probably because he is an ATG who suffered only one controversial defeat in his first 15 years, won titles through four divisions (skipping one) and was at or near the top of pound for pound list for a decade.
