Boxing is a pretty racist sport...pr's vs Mexicans, blacks vs pr's, blacks vs Mexicans....it's always been like that...divided by nationalities....some people who are true to the sport lick their fighters based on just who they like and not nationality....like me...I went for Floyd when he fought cotto...I went for PAC when he fought hatton and margarito

I can honestly say I have never once in my life and that includes over five thousand fights, not once have I rooted for a guy based on color, nationality, etc. Not once. It wasn't until me and former world contender Ice John Scully were talking about 10 years ago that we realized that people actually do. Me and John were talking with a guy and he told us he supported only one nationality and John and I were perplexed. We didn't even realize this was happening because we didn't support fighters based on such. To me it is about a fighter's style, attitude, background (having been through hard times or having paid his dues), charisma, decency, niceness, respecting others. I pull for fighters who fit those categories.

He gave him some fights, made him earn good money that no one could have helped him make because Top Rank was basically the only major promoter. Just like Arum helped Oscar's career hence why he wants to work with Arum again. 50-50 wasn't even agreed upon on Floyd nor Shaefer first of all. if floyd promotes his own fights it means:

1. he will be the one paying the judges.
2. he will be the one paying the referee
3. he will be paying for fight insurance
4. he will be paying his opponent
5. he will basically be paying for all the costs associated with setting up the fight.

If you mayweather miscreants cant see anything wrong with that set up, i dont know what to tell you.

I'm honestly not sure if Mayweather on his own can put together a good show and I know he'll be working with Haymon and Schaefer but it all comes down to how many fighters are contracted with Haymon as a manager and GBP as promoter.

What I'm worried about is Mayweather's narcissism and cowardice taking centre stage..he'll ask all and any future opponents to sign with his company if they want to fight him and then have the perfect excuse to avoid legitimate threats. Oh God...
