Fact is he hasn't beaten anyone, he might turn out to be an all time great but until he proves it we will never know.

I personally have nothing against the guy but until he moves up he wont get the respect he wants.

So the past 10 years he has been promoted badly? But Ward hasn't? Ironic how Ward has ZERO fans and beaten better opposition.. but GGG is soooo popular but hasn't really beaten anybody? Don't get me wrong.. I like GGG and I like this fight.. I just think he needs to step up the level of competition after this. Interesting as well... GGG is soo popular.. but this is his first fight at the Real Madison Square Garden.. he has been fighting at the small building in the Garden.

Geez, Ward must kiss and hug his handlers for getting him into SuperSix to fight the best - GGG hasn't had such an opportunity and will never have.

Don't act like GGG is reluctant to fight the better opposition - it's what he wanted for the past 10 years. It's well documented he approached almost all top MWs with no luck, he even signed his part of the deal to fight Chavez Jr. at 168, and he finally got Geale at 160.

I agree that he needs to step up the competition.. but this is a decent fight.. and lets see what he does if he wins... then I will really question if he is a hype job... for now lets see.... I know that people are not knocking on the door to fight him though.. as far as Cotto (my favorite) he better stay the hell away from GGG
