Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury-Alexander Ustinov Looms For Saturday Night

Boxing Scene understands that Tyson Fury’s replacement opponent for his bout on Saturday night in Manchester may very well be Alexander Ustinov 29-1 (21 KOs). Fury 22-0 (16 KOs) had been due to face Dereck Chisora in a rematch from their original bout three years ago but ‘Del Boy’ withdrew from the fight yesterday after suffering a fractured left hand in sparring.

maybe if they were in the same spot, but since ustinov has been in chisoras camp we know he has been doing some work of his own leading up. whats TT been up to? 1 week is no time at all to prepare.

Didn't know Ustinov was in Chisoras camp. Cool. He should be ready then

TT doesn't need to prepare. He's always ready

let this be a lesson, HW.

                STAY IN SHAPE!

these guys pull out of fights so often in part because they aren't in shape [being huge doens't help, either.]

when they pull out, if you're in shape, you can get the fight! you won't have adequate sparring, and you might not win, but at least you can get your hands on a freaking HW payday. HW get f#cking PAID. i don't know what the hell it is, because the fighters are so clearly worst at HW, but casual fans eat up HW boxing. it's an easy sell.

Well shit the bed, this is rather cool! :box2:

It ain't gonna be a pretty fight - probably a sloppy clinchfest or a very early KO - but it's two giant tanks going at it. Awesome save.

ustinov was stopped and beaten handily by pulev. fury needs to duplicate the feat to keep his standing as one of the best contenders in the division. will be interesting to see if fury can kayo ustinov
