GGG and Cotto are both with HBO, so they should be easier to matchup than GGG and Canelo, because Canelo is on Showtime.

This is the 3rd time the WBC have made this guy mandatory. I don't recall him winning a round against Pavlik or Chavez but that doesn't seem to matter, even if he doesn't win a single second this time they'll probably order him another shot in a year or two anyway.

You don't know **** about boxing. Rubio would give Cotto all kinds of problems. Cotto hasn't fought anyone at middleweight yet. I don't count the crippled version of Martinez as a legitimate challenge.

            Cotto is so overrated.

This Rubio guy is just not giving up. He beats a bunch of nobodies and thinks he can play with the big boys.

Saddest thing is, I think he would beat Cotto...

Seems like Rubio's always the mandatory challenger that never gets his shot.

I'm all for honoring mandatories, but can someone please explain to me how Rubio ended up becoming a mandatory? His best wins since his last title shot are a 41 year old Baldomir and Spada. Does that warrant a mandatory shot?

He got 2 against Pavlik and Chavez Jr

Because he called out Chavez Jr for not getting tested after their fight and the WBC promised him that much.... but that was in place under the old boss
