They're not his gloves. They're Everlasts "MX" gloves. Widely worn by many boxers. So get that straight first off.

Not to mention they were the same gloves Cotto wore when he faced Floyd and Floyd didnt seem to have a problem with them back then.

In boxing. There is such a thing called a puncher and a boxer.

A puncher can walk through you with his punches. A boxer wins on points and skill.

Maidana is a puncher (that's his skill set) and should wear his gear appropriately. Just as Floyd is a boxer who has brittle hands and would prefer pillow gloves.

        To each his own.

A soldier, a samurai should choose his weapon or even a basketball player should have the right to wear his chosen shoes in a ball game.

He'd get sued if he decided to pull a no show at the last minute, which would make his entire career irrelevant (Financially). If he decided to boycott the fight now, Mayweather would just pick a new opponent.

Idk man. For mayweather it should be about fighting the best fighters. Not the illusion of fighting the best Maidana in this case. To me he should want to beat Maidana with his glove of choice so it leaves no doubt, even in a close fight.

It's not about the gloves, its about Mayweather being a bitch and cherrypicking every single detail even though he is supposedly the best fighter in the world.

There is no reason why Maidana can't use those gloves... why does floyd have to act like a girl all the fucking time. Maidana agreed to his terms in the last fight, why can't this just be a straight up fight with no asterisks and question marks?

Why does Floyd always have to do this?

Nope his gloves were special made not the stock kind and every A-side makes all the rules and all Ward Cotto pac so forth so on floyd didnt start this - something just wasnt right about those gloves werent factory wrapped and just lacked padding

I don't think he gives a **** because historically beating a peaked Maidana doesn't amount to much. It's not something that will make of break his resume.

That's one way to be sued.

He signed to fight... he refuses to go out not barring injury, the damages would be tremendous. He would be bankrupt.
