I agree.. with guerrero tho i think he had the right gameplan in mind thats why he challenged floyd to go toe to toe but was just not good enough to corner floyd neither strong enough to maul him anyways. The problem with ortiz was mostly mental, his trainer had the right gameplan too not surprisingly he is robert garcia's brother, they both knew roughing floyd was the way to go..with canelo, lol....nevermind..
Boxing Pundit Doug Fischer watched May vs. Maidana again and says Maidana won...

I had a draw
Floyd did squat for the first 6 rounds. I had it 4-2 at that point with possibly being 5-1 but gave a swing round to floyd. People give all swing rounds to floyd which isnt fair you gotta split them.
I had a 6- 6 draw at at best for floyd at worst maidana by 1.
Floyd didnt win though imo.he did enought to even it out possibly, but no way he won that fight.Comment

It always happens though, especially with the bigger named athletes. And a lot of these so-called journalists aren't that professional.
But yeah, when Floyd blasts them to their face, it almost always gets under their skin. You saw very quickly how an old guy in Larry Merchant couldn't maintain his professionalism after Floyd put him on blast insulting him to his face.
Then you see the flip side of the coin, when Floyd blasted Elie Sechback to his face about 'hating' and since then Sechback has been calling Floyd the greatest boxer that ever lived.
Floyd has burned a lot of bridges with reporters, but at the same time, they were the one's who started it, with being overly critical of him. He still should have kept his composure and try to be as nice as possible. You could tell no one in his team tells him how to behave, he is surrounded by yes men who probably tell him everything he does is justified.
There are a lot of Doug Fischer's out there who would jump on the chance to insult Floyd. While Pacquiao is a very nice guy to reporters, they will jump at the chance to defend him 'til death. It's how it works. I guarantee you the PED drama of 2009-2012, would have been a whole lot different if it had been Floyd being accused of using PED's and saying no to OST for a Pac fight. It's not because Floyd is black, it's because of his behavior.Comment

Doug Fischer said just recently that he rewatched Floyd vs. Maidana and said he could see it scored as a Maidana win.
Lederman about a month ago said the best score, the closest one in his view, was the draw.
Stephen Breadman Edwards scored it a Maidana win.
These guys didn't have to air these thoughts. I think they loved Maidana's old school, La Motta type approach and performance. But also they want Floyd to fight more impressively, throw harder, to win by more rounds.
Internet Boxing Guys who scored it a draw or win for Chino:
Wingy Boxing
T Street Controversy
78 sports tv
boxingwave
Eric Bradley

Granted, 80 some percent or the media called it a Floyd win. But Doug Fischer, Lederman and Stephen Edwards are three of the biggest names in the boxing media. And T Street and Wingy are probably the two biggest boxing youtubers(Die Hard Floyders Dwyer and Tha Boxing Voice scored it around 9-3 for Floyd.)
I think the stage is set for close scores Sept. 13. The public scored it close to a draw and has pushed guys like Fischer and Lederman(and probably the judges on Sept. 13th.) to look at the fight again and score it for the active, aggressive guy who landed more punches. Which means Floyd will have to do more to win e.g. Toney vs Jirov.Comment
