his WBC belt was gifted to him, he won the WBA regular belt which is a mediocre belt, and he never deserved the ring belt either.

canelo barely sc****d by against lara and trout (many people thought he didn't really deserve neither) and he didn't even won one round against floyd. angulo was coming off a loss and not ranked in the top ten at 154, and everyone else were bloated and past prime jww's and ww's. that's not a very good resume when you look at it.
again if its only one win then you can make the case, but even canelo beating lara is just as complicated and with much more less reward than estrada taking on viloria... thats the difference i see, estrada had nothing to lose vs viloria , and canelo was on a lose lose situation vs the likes of trout or lara..
but i repeat i think estradas win is great, but he needs continue fighting elite fighters...

hes good and has room to grow but 2 of his biggest wins have been controversial, i was at the trout fight and it was closer than close! he lost to Lara but i woulda accepted a draw he just needs to keep getting better, if this is as good as he will be, he will lose eventually! hes fighting the top in his division though!!

At 23 IF Mayweather was choosing the same fights that Canelo is same age etc...
Mayweather would of lost once or twice by then and that is most definitely a fact.

Trout and Lara lost so get over it The Floyd loss was a scam to fool the idiots who have no clue in what weight draining does to a fighter I cut weight one time I was boxing like a dead man lost got knock down. I move up in weight and never lost an amateur bout again so until Floyd and Canelo ever fight again 154or 160 with no catch weights. Why do you think Canelo said 155 to Lara and to fight at 152 the guy was a zombie

He has been. He beat Viloria when he was given little to no chance in doing so, and in a dominating fashion. He fought Roman Gonzalez and lost, not an excuse but he had to drop down to 108 to get the fight, a weight he wasn't comfortable in and is a major drop in the lower weights. He lost to Juan Carlos Sanchez Jr in his earlier fights and he went on to be a champion at 115 and is a big fish in a small pond(Tete got in dat ass doe). Milan Melindo was ranked and was a great undefeated fighter whom also had nothing to lose and everything to gain against Estrada. Very technically sound and genuinely gifted fighter whom Estrada dominated in the second half of the fight. He fought Mepranum and stopped him, he is a journeyman but has a victory over a prime Hernan Tysonito Marquez and is now fighting and defending his crowns against Giovani Segura in September. If anything Estrada and Canelo are in the same boat or I slightly edge Gallito.

Canelo - Trout, Floyd, Angulo and Lara

Estrada - Juan Carlos Sanchez Jr, Roman Gonzalez, Viloria, Melindo, Mepranum and soon to add Segura.

yeah.. Divine has a decent foundation for his argument.

If you credit Mepranum for Estrada you have to count guys like Mosley, Cintron, and Baldomir for Canelo. And Canelo beat Miguel Vazquez (135 pound champ) twice early in his career.

Canelo: Lara, Angulo, Mayweather (Loss), Trout, Mosley, Cintron, Baldomir, Vazquez x2.

Estrada: Mepranum, Melindo, Viloria, Gonzalez (Loss), Sanchez Jr. (Loss)

I give Canelo the edge in resume so far, but both him and Gallito are two of my favorites. They're both willing to take on anybody.

We should get fireworks in their next fights with Estrada vs. Segura and Canelo vs. Kirkland.
