Luckily for him, his right hand is a game changer. He has a chance to end any fight at any given moment. He has a punchers chance in any fight he's in. It's just a question of if/when his defensive flaws end up getting him dropped at any given moment.

That is the thing if he wins a title fight it is because he is a freak of nature. That is cool and it will be fun to watch but there is only one way it is ending for Wilder as it is now. However, that is also fine and makes him more interesting to watch knowing a train wreck could be around any corner.

Like I said I don't think the problem was how he was matched it wasn't spectacular but he has got better from the work so it was serving the purpose, they needed to continue that steady progress to really get the most out of him IMO. Instead they are about to throw him in the deep end when he doesn't know how to do much more than dog paddle.
