What's Wladimir Klitschko's best/most important win?

There's been a lot of undue hate of late on NSB regarding Wladimir's career. Whatever might be said, he's clearly head-and-shoulders above every current HW and a sure ATG. How he would fare H2H against former champs is intriguing, but I wanted to gauge opinion on:

What is Wladimir Klitschko's best/most important/careering defining win?

He does not have great wins..his career is based on longevity and consistency...but i would say his best win is Haye as that is his most accomplished foe...no one else on his resume was a 2 division champion and prime

Haye is better then all the other fighters you posted...he is the only one who even will have a remote shot to ever get in the hall of fame

But which, in your opinion, is his best win? It's a tough call, for sure - the Peter win showed that he could come through adversity to beat a hungry, big-punching come forward and undefeated fighter. The Byrd fight was pure dominance; same with Ibragimov and Haye.

Its hard, really hard to pick a certain fight which is his best because he has a lot of good wins on his record... Most of his fights tending to be absolutely dominant so yeah If we're to look at who gave him a good fight Samuel Peter in the first fight definitely did that.

Then you can look at how he systematically shut down a gold medalist boxer who is probably the second best boxer in the division in Povetkin.

I certainly wouldn't pick Haye as his best win, Wach was a better win than Davey boy.

My personal choice is how he knocked out Ray Mercer and made him look useless that performance was amazing, Ray had previously never been stopped and he has faced some monster punchers and he was still game at the time with many people arguing he beat Lennox Lewis that fight.

As much as someone like Freedom likes to discredit Haye, saying he's a poor opponent this, that and the other. He's never wanted Wlad to win as bad as he did that night.

Never, and I have followed Wlad since he first came on the world scene AS AN AMATEUR, have I seen anyone give the other guy as much a chance to win as they gave Haye.

It was clearly his biggest fight, I think we can all agree on that, and would Haye beat the likes of Byrd, Povetkin, Chagaev, Ibragimov? In my opinion he probably would.

There was never so much hype about a Wlad fight as against Haye, it generated world wide interest for years before it happened.

So I would say from a fans perspective, the Haye fight was definitely his biggest win. That's undisputable, in terms of size of the event. Best fighter? I would probably go with Haye again, closely followed by Byrd in 2000 and Sam Peter in 2005.

Just to add, I think Sam Peter of 2005 was the biggest turning point of his career, and probably for him personally, the most significant fight.

But I think the Haye fight gave him most satisfaction.
