Timing. I believe it is the most important attribute in boxing. It neutralises speed, catches your opponents off guard and punishes your opponents when they are on the offensive.

I would nominate Manny's stamina, not his footwork. He can fight off the back foot reasonably well, but he is not that good at cutting off the ring.

If I had to name the one thing at which Manny is undeniably the best in the world, I would say stamina. His chin, speed, power, technique etc. are very good, too, but I can think of fighters who are better at those.

mannys footwork is highly flawed, arguably his worst weakness. his feet are fast but he moves them incorrectly, like someone who has fast hands but throws wide punches.

out of those qualities i would pick timing of floyd or defense of ward. all in all i would probably pick the intelligence of BHop though, that would be my number one choice.

footwork of manny, dancing around opponents is basically the ultimate art in boxing, the greatest amatuers, all great movers and it's what seperates them

if it includes his footspeed, i'd be a god among men, esspecially if all i do is run

If I can only pick one, then I'd go for a great chin. You can have all the technical excellence on the planet or all the physical gifts of speed and reflexes but none of that matters if your chin is flawed and you can't take a big shot. Ali from 75-81 literally survived and often succeeded in the heavyweight division purely because of his chin. Any fighter as far gone as he was then would have been brutally stopped at some point.

The best footwork i've seen was of The Great Mario Kindlan, period.
