Kovalev has as good as a defense as possible for a offensive minded fighter who comes forward like he does
exactly. just because these guys score big KOs people think they're some face first brawlers and low IQ neanderthals.

his defence mostly comes from his footwork. his upper body is a bit static and his guard a bit lax at times. he's less frequently in a position to be hit than for example golovkin, but when he does get hit he gets hit cleaner. those are my observations.

the Kovalev had a draw with a 5-4 fighter, that's a shame. He chose to fight the average domestic fighter cleverly instead of the legend hopkins who he was mandatory for. that's su****ious, maybe he was concerned with losing to the hopkins?

Xing is looking forward to his next fight, the world of fans will be stunned to see the Kovalev be outboxed by his opponent. It will be a controversial fight.

Wrong.... How about you educate yourself young man. Kovalev got robbed of a KO. He should be 25-0 with 23 KOs

A draw is a draw sir, like i said it's a shame but it happened.

I want you to explain why the Kovalev fought domestic average Cleverly instead of the legend hopkins who he was mandatory for.

                Here is the short version:

                -Kovalev became Hopkins mandatory

                -Richard Schafer/Showtime/Espinoza rejected the fight

-Kovalev didn't want to fight for a vacant belt

-Cleverly had balls of steel to voluntarily defend against Kovalev

-Showtime proceeds to approve Murat afterward (because he is more known and has more fans in the state)

Light heavyweight contender Sergey Kovalev and promoter Main Events are in a great spot. They have two quality options in the wake of Kovalev’s third-round destruction of Cornelius White last week.

Bernard Hopkins loves the spotlight and loves it when the world is forced to call him the best at what he does. Sergey Kovalev is just the latest rising hopeful to get too much attention for B-Hop’s liking.

ok so it was showtime who rejected, now Xing understands. Thank you.

Still, the Kovalev shall be outboxed in his next fight, it will be a very controversial outcome.

His offense is his defense, look at his resume, there is a reason he doesn't fight power punchers. He got KTFO in the AM's and it will happen again in the pros.
