It would be nowhere near the same upset as Douglas vs Tyson. Nowhere near!! Fury is a legit player in the division, mandatory and ranked in the top 3 I believe. Wladimir is old and didn't have a great last couple of fights.
Tyson was an undefeated beast, perceived to be invincible and in his prime or so we thought. Add to that, Douglas had been beaten handily by guys tyson had already beaten or who were his sparring partners.
Nowhere near the same upset.
A bit like Muhammad Ali, who's 'greatest' tag is largely down to self promotion and lucky wins.Comment

Still, it would be a major upset. Much bigger than Haye or Povetkin beating Vladimir. Fury made himself appear more legit than he in fact has proven in the ring, and he did it with self promotion and wild antics in general.

I usually have a good idea of how Klitschko's fights play out; Wlad is very consistent and, in some ways, predictable. That doesn't mean he's easy to figure out because he's very good at what he does. He fights tall, finds his range and rythmn and uses his 'telephone poll' jab and powerful right hand to dictate the pace and punish his opponent.
With Fury, Wlad is gonna be the smaller man (not by much); he's gonna be punching at eye level and his range is going to be limited because Tyson Fury himself is good at fighting on the outside. I'm also not sure if and how Wladimir will hold and clinch Fury when they get close. Fury is strong athletic guy and he has a good inside fight game - in fact, he likes to fight on the inside.
I could see a scenario where there is a lot of grappling and wrestling as they get in close quarters; but one thing is for certain to me, Wlad is not gonna be able to do his "punch and grab" routine effectively against Fury. If that is taken away, then Wlad is really gonna have to fight with some urgency and this is what makes this fight interesting.Comment

On Ali ,he had some luck in many wins for a top HW.....the same luck if giving to Klitchko you would have unlimited ammo to use if we reversed roles ,and you know it ......Last edited by juggernaut666; 11-07-2015, 11:21 AM.Comment

The more vids i see of fury the more I see why he never fought the bigger Hw's and took a chance at this huge payday he has now...I cant blame him,...me ,myself? well im more convinced Wlad ends this within 5 rounds now from the press to this vid..im not to concerned what footage we are not seeing, total different skill sets here...when Wlad does win it will show however , how easy he handled a huge SHW with footwork. Next stop safter hopefully Wilder then Joshua, who is the real threat NOW,not fury.
He is in no way prepared for what Wladimir brings and it's beginning to show.Comment

Greens sent.
Fury is a good boxer, is power most certainly overrated, his skill set is good for his size as is his mobility. I rate him personally, he's certainly a top 5-6 fighter in the division today, he just is not on Wlad's level, Wlad is not even in his prime anymore really either so a comparison when all is said and done and they've retired I'd say Fury ranks lower even further.
I'd like to credit Wlad more for a win over Fury but the guy has been dropped by feather fisted career cruisers, his punch resistance is poor and his match making to date is obviously a factor with his durability. His handlers deserve more credit than Fury himself avtually haha.
When Fury has been knocked out the same old detractors come along and say Fury was never anything special anyway, and the common consensus is he was just a huge imbecile more recognised for his mouth than his talents. The Klitschko hate mob then shift their attention to Joshua straight away, and they'll be saying what they now say about Haye about Fury !
Can Fury be a champion post Klitschko era ? Doubtful IMO, I expect we'll see Hughie go on an d emulate Tyson's achievements, he looks legit his credibility is already there with his current victories.Comment
