Wlad did repeat in the corner that he wanted to go on. But Williamson wasn't a beaten man. The doctor stopped the fight on the cut as possible pupil damage could occur.

With due respect to Wlad he came back and fought the biggest threat in the division straight after.

Nice post and to reiterate a common Klitschko knock, the results do speak for themselves. Wlad did in fact win the fight on a technical decision. Like it or not I suppose.

How do you know that?. Were you one of his corner men? The scratch was up on the forehead. It was nowhere near the 'pupil' of the eyeball and no where close to being a fight ending cut.
Wlad got the same cut - if not worse - against Thompson but did not withdraw then because he was in control.


Sam Peter? I can't give anybody respect for going life and death and having to run , hold and foul against an embarrassment like Peter.
Watch his fight with Vitali again to see how utterly pathetic he was.

If Wlad was a great like his clown fans say , Peter would have been running and holding Wlad , not the other way around.

Dont know why people hate on Wlad. He is a legit Champ with skill and power, and he's been consistent for years now, impeccable infact. Would you rather have Tyson Fury as your champ? A European level fighter who is charismatic, but has no skill,defence,power,coordination? The fact Fury is even ranked in the top 5 is an embarrassment to World Boxing. That's a sign of how far this sport has fallen. We should cherish talent like Wlad's, Floyd's, whilst its still here.

Only a minority thought Peter would win and it had everything got to do with Vitali being 38 and having spent the last 4 years in retirement. It had NOTHING to do with Peter being a threat.

Most people knew Vitali could come back after 4 years out and easily beat a bum like Peter.

I was lazily watching that video embedded in your post and thinking to myself "Wow, that's some pretty full on wrestling-like clinches, that must get tiring by the 6th, 7th etc rounds" and as I watched maybe the 4th or 5th huge blatant octopus clinch, thought to myself "That's got to be one massive clinch a round, surely when it gets to the middle rounds, the ref has to start thinking of at least warning him" then I look down and see in the corner of the screen that we are only 30 seconds in to the first ****ing round!!!

I nearly fell off my chair. I remember it being bad, but that is well beyond bad. That is into twilight zone, another realm, ****ing absurd territory. When you fight Wlad, you enter Wlad's own special clinchiverse. How the ref doesn't say anything is a disgrace. Even worse is that many, if not all, of his most ardent fans will have the gall to then go and criticise someone like Mayweather, who on his very worst day, will do that same amount of obvious clinches across a whole 12 round fight...but to do that many within the first 30 seconds of the very first round...and keep that same pattern up for a whole fight.

It was one of the most foul and de****able displays of sportsmanship i ever witnessed.
Ive never seen a boxer 100% deserving of a disqualification in every round. He should not even be champ today.

Some Klitschko fans had the dignity to call it how it was but a lot actually had the bottom of the barrel dwelling opinions that Povetkin was the one to blame.

Even the German press ripped Wlad a new one over that debacle.
