I don't understand how Maidana and his team have yet to bring up the cotto fight. Miguel was wearing the MX everlast gloves when he fought Floyd. But then again Floyd had his nose bloodied up in that fight and look uncomfortable at times with cotto. It all makes sense now, this was the last fight since oscar and Hatton hat he allowed his opponent to wear what ever glove they wanted. Floyd's paranoia took over once he realized what gloves they were.

Even if Maidana got paid off do you really think the glove issue is not going Mayweather's way? I actually like Maidana's attitude. He has no respect for Mayweather and that's a good thing. However, he WILL capitulate to whatever Mayweather is asking (other than bending over). The glove issue will get resolved, the fight will go on, but the only way Maidana is wearing his gloves is if Mayweather decide to let him. Maidana is already on record saying he'll try out the gloves Mayweather want him to wear so there's a good chance he will switch gloves.

if this is true, then it further illustrates the fact that a manager (Haymon, or anyone else for that matter) cannot fairly represent both sides of a fight.

A manager that was truly looking out for Maidana's interests would have said "fine, no fight then" and sued Floyd for breach of contract

Gloves alone is not going to help Maidana, I don't understand what is the big deal. If it is the ring side I guess they will say that is a problem too or if the canvass is too spongey.

Thats it he's going on the list of people im sending my resume to ;-). A monkey could have negotiated that deal. Chino was holding all the cards once the commission approved at least one of the mx gloves.

Chino nor his team did anything to deserve a breach from Mayweather. So far as i know.
