Comments Thread For: Golden Boy VP: Andrade Has To Get in Line For Canelo

WBO junior middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14KOs) won't get a fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (43-1-1, 31KOs) so easily. On Wednesday, Andrade's team issued a press release challenging Canelo to a fight in the near future.

“I read some comments that Oscar [De La Hoya, Alvarez’s promoter] made to Lara after the fight that there is a line about 10 people deep to fight Canelo, and Lara would have to get to the back of it,” Andrade said. “What Oscar failed to mention is that line forms behind me.

        there's at least:

        Cotto
        Mayweather
        Kirkland
        are all bigger fights

In terms of WBC/WBA/IBF rankings, there's a whole host of names

I dont see anyone ahead of him now. Lara was the most deserving he got it. Now what they gonna do fight molina or kirkland two guys that are in and out of jail lol. Andrade is a world champion. I think canelo is sick to death of the slick southpaw.

Cotto yea, but he's not an option till May, same as Mayweather....which would be a laughable choice

Kirkland evidently the frontrunner in this hypothetical line for November

                  Cotto Vs Chavez

I read this article on espnDeportes that Chavez stated that they had talked about facing Cotto at the end of this year.

Kirkland is ass. Why people want to see him get KO'd so bad?

Wherever in line Andrade is, he's at least ahead of Kirkland.
