Floyd was forced to fight at 154, fight in a smaller ring, and use puncher's gloves. Sugar Ray forced Hearns to fight in a bigger ring so he can box and move. For the record, Maidana's claim was that the gloves Floyd made him wear were foam padded gloves that had so much padding he could hardly fit his hands inside them nor make a closed fist. He's much more comfortable with the MX gloves where he can actually close his hands and make a fist. This is boxing not slap boxing!
