For the record, Maidana's claim was that the gloves Floyd made him wear were foam padded gloves that had so much padding he could hardly fit his hands inside them nor make a closed fist. He's much more comfortable with the MX gloves where he can actually close his hands and make a fist. This is boxing not slap boxing!

Nah man, you got it all wrong. What had happened was Robert Garcia cut open the gloves himself and took a bunch of padding out. After that he sewed the gloves back up with a thread and needle and try to pass it off to the commision. Floyd gets to call the shots. Period. No one had an issue with Oscar calling the shots for his big fights including the one with Floyd. Floyd was forced to fight at 154, fight in a smaller ring, and use puncher's gloves. Sugar Ray forced Hearns to fight in a bigger ring so he can box and move. This is how it goes when you are on the A-side or the person generating the money. Maidana may very well be that person when Mayweather retires but until he has to wait and earn his turn just like Floyd did. So on 9/13, he will be using the gloves that Floyd wants him to use.

when ya'll get done the comission approved the wraps,gloves and drug testing..someone else on all cases had to catch the crime being committed..the comission misses things and that is why a boxer has someone check these things out
