Ive said it before and i ll say it again. A fighter has to bring more than skill to the table. He has to bring a crowd with him. Im a ward fan too. I can respect Tom a lot more by explaining that. Froch sold 80,000 seats. And doing that fight makes great financial sense. Which one is better? Fighting somebody who brings in 5,000 people or 80,000? Can be that hard to figure out. What Ward needs to do is get in the ring and stop wasting talent.

He'll go to 168 for Chavez Jr., but not for Andre Ward. I understand the money issue, but at the same time, you can't say i'll fight anybody. What you can say is i'll fight anybody at 160 (only on HBO), and i'll go up if the price is right. Not really a duck, but GGG is not the most feared boxer on the planet, as some have described him.

Like.... It's not even possible to duck a guy who is a division above you, hasn;t fought in a year, and doesn't even have a promoter.

On a side note: Did Ward retire or is he still training?
What happened to we'll fight anyone from 154-168?

It kinda makes sense. Even though Gennady is a rising name by the minute, and Ward is well established, neither one of them is PPV big.

Yet I guarantee both of them would want PPV money (millions each) to fight each other.

Both of them are trying to jump at more popular fighters, Like Chavez and Froch as they both need that big name to land a PPV fight and payday.

Andre Ward likes to say "boxing is prize fighting not pride fighting". So yes, if the money is right, they all will fight Ward. But he brings very little yet demands a lot. Look at Floyd. His opponents know they're going to lose, but they'd kill to get a fight with him. With Ward it's high risk/low reward.

Gennady Is On Track To Unify Middleweight; Chavez & Ward Aren't Fighting

GGG signed the paperwork, Chavez backed away and played the Bob Arum card. Ward won't fight ANYONE. Bernard Hopkins at 49 is busier and fighting tougher opponents than Ward. GGG has Canelo, Cotto, Quillin still to clean thru, in his own division. Ward has Kessler, Hopkins, Chavez, Stephenson all at 168, whom he WON'T fight. What a joke. Ward needs to grow a set, and act like a champion and clean up his division, and stop being a diva.

What I got out of this, is that GGG list of fighters he's willing to face is Cotto, Froch and JCCjr, all PPV fights.

What happened to ward moving up to 175 after the super 8? Or is he still trying to fight bute before moving up?
