Former two division world champion Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez (34-4, 31KOs) of Puerto Rico is not ready to retire from boxing just yet.

Last Saturday night in Las Vegas, on the Saul Alvarez-Erislandy Lara undercard, Juanma was stopped in three rounds by the unbeaten prospect Francisco Vargas (20-0-1, 14KOs) of Mexico. The loss was Juanma's second stoppage defeat in his last three fights. Juanma has gone 4-4 in his last eight ring appearances, with all four defeats coming in by way of knockout.

Juan ma is past that point. He should of retired after the fight with garcia. Top rank stopped promoting him because in there own words "they didn't want blood on there hands"

Before his annihilation this past Saturday, I really thought he still had something left in the tank. After that beat down as well as his past beat downs, I fully agree with the rest of the board, hang them up champ. He had a good run and gave us so many exciting fights but his body will no longer hold up to the punishment, and it can cost him so much if he doesn't back down asap. Hope he can realise how much he can lose and finds something else to do. He might be too much of a warrior for his own health and well being.

He does need to consider retirement, but if he decides to fight on, then he better get a new trainer new everything but that still does not promise success because juanma seems very stubborn in the ring. Once he gets hit hard he auto has to respond with wreck less aggression

I used to dislike Juanma but this is sad.

                    He needs to go.
