I think kovalev is packing glass but when he gets a little buzzed he hides it well and comes forward throwing punches

loving the new sig and avvy, bro. it's good to see a hard worker and scrappy underdog like canelo work his way to the top. that's what's great about this sport. there are no sacred cows.

He almost fought fonfara, but he got stolen away by Stevenson.

Also cloud? Come on, even you gotta admit he's freaking trash man.

I wouldn't mind savigne. Mike should put him on more shows to build him up to that

Kovalevs got a good chin. This is the punch that KO'd Stevenson and knocked Ward down

You can't manufacture fights, the LHW division is currently devoid of punchers outside of Stevenson...I guess Cloud and Fonfara have some pop but that's it. In the last 12 months, the period in which Kov has stepped up, Cloud has been busy and Stevenson has beaten Cloud and Fonfara so both those guys are going to have to rebound over lesser names.

Kovalev in the mean while has beaten some ok names in Cleverly, Campillo and Sillakh and had two terrible names in Agnew and now this Caparello fella. I reckon his next fight will be against someone like Fonfara.

People seem to forget that in January of last year Kovalev, was going into the Campillo fight with 18 professional fights. Campillo should of been the unified champ at LHW at that point.

He fought Campillo and then Cornelius White was next and that fight was sanctioned by the IBF as the mandatory to Bernard Hopkins fight.

We all know what happened with Showtime/Schafer regarding that fight so then by his 21st fight he got offered a Cleverly fight. Once he beat Cleverly (this was in August) He was immedietly calling out Stevenson! This isnt something that came out of the blue, he publically said he wants Stevenson starting last August.

And that's that, the next two fights were "tune ups" because that's what Stevenson wanted. And now right now Caparello is the best possible opponent because A) Cloud sucks and B) no way Mike Tysons gonna put Savinge in there with him right now so who else is left? lol

Kovalev isn't Stevenson. You say why has he not fought a puncher? The simple ansawer is there isn't any. He attempted to fight the best and biggest puncher in the division besides himself for the past year and he literally ran away and had to get sued.

Nobody wants to fight him. It is what it is
