I have no problem with Algieri the fighter. But he shouldn't be headlining a PPV fight. He's Lara with a few extra combos. Which is fine but not PPV worthy.

Pacquiao takes on people with a style not suited for him, that makes him great.
Is Bob Arum making these threads?

That was some really misplaced sarcasm. Nutritionists and educated people know how to get the most of their diet and training (see:Wlad). It's just that there are so few intelligent, educated people in boxing, simple folk might think it's actually un-beastly to be a nutritionist and have knowledge.

I haven't seen him fight and I think Maidana smashes him anyway. Still, Mayweather's opposition is **** anyway.

Algeiri has better footwork and would boxes circles around him with throwing over 1000 punches a fight

He's the best 147 fighter on TR's stable that Pac could fight. The others:

                Bradley - just beat him
                Rios - just beat him
Marquez - pricing himself out and wont do VADA.
Provodnikov - just lost (to algeri)
                Alverado - just lost
                Abregu - who?

It's the most we can expect as fans, and people dont realise yet that it's going to be a tough, close fight for Pacquiao. Pacquiao is inevitably going to lose steam after this fight because people expect him to steamroll algeri, and he just wont be able to at all. It's the best fight for business, but perhaps the worse for reputation.

Is this fight at 147 or 140?
I'd be surprised if Manny drops down to 140.

Algieri is fine -- I like him... But no matter how intelligent and educated he might be, he doesn't have the required experience for fighting Manny.

He has a case, at 140, not 147. Only fighter I favor over Algirie is Matthysse.
