Maidana is 10 times better than Khan. Maidana is ranked much higher than Khan by Ring, Boxing Scene, Boxrec and everybody else who rank fighters. That very close win that Khan had over Maidana 4 years ago doesn't mean a damn thing today. Maidana has improved vastly since then and Khan is no here near as good today as he was a few years ago. Quit living in the distant pass to build up glass jawed cherry picking Khan. Let's see Khan beat a top five welterweight TODAY the way Maidana did when he beat Broner. Collazo is the number 30 welterweight and no where near top ten. I think Khan's days as a world champion are long gone. He could probably line up a big money fight with Brook. It would be a big seller in the UK even if Brook loses to Porter. Brook would probably KO Khan but it would give Khan some good retirement money.

He should prove it by fighting and beating Alexander, something that Maidana was not able to do. If he does, he deserves a fight against Mayweather. The last time I checked, Khan refused to fight Alexander because he was scared he might lose and wouldn't get a shot at Mayweather.

Styles make fights & I think Khan is a bad match up for Maidana. In case these guys were to fight again I think Khan wins by landing punches & clinching. I wouldn't be surprised if Maidana gets frustrated with all the quick jabs+clinches & pulls some MMA stuff on Khan to get himself DQ'd/taken some points away. Khan is way too quick for Maidana & the hit+clinch strategy works great for him (as long as the referee allows that).

Other than speed, Khan has nothing to trouble Floyd with.

Khans best victory in 3 years is Zab Judah.

Amir Khan is one of the fighters who will not be appreciated until 15-20 years from now. He is a very good fighter and shows why the idea this era is weak is a myth.

Amir Khan would beat someone like Pipino Ceuvas quite easily, the best win Thomas Hearns has at welterweight in the so-called '80's golden welterweight era'.

If Khan and Maidana had 10 fights, Maidana wud only win 1 at most

Khans style is wrong for Maidana, always will be, only way Maidana can beat Khan is if Khan slips up or gets careless.

Basically Khans fate in his own hands, Maidana doesnt have the skills to cope with Khan, Jab Jab, right hand, shots to the body and movement style

Floyd likes to stand in one place on the ropes, something Khan doesnt do, also Khan throws punches in bunches..again something Floyd doesnt do anymore

Khan under Hunter looks very very disciplined, i dont see any openings for Maidana

I think speed+decent power should be enough to give Floyd a lot of problems. Floyd will out box & cruise to victory against slow guys who also possess a lot of power. Khan-Mayweather is a very interesting match up IMO. I think Khan gives Floyd more problems than Maidana did or will give this September.
