That was when he fought Paulie "Money" Malignaggi in a voluntary defense.

If Thurman had beat Porter, he'd have a belt then I'd say Khan should be targeting him. Right now, Thurman is just in no man's land really.

Didn't Maidana directly turn down Thurman too?

          3) I don't care what you think, you'd probably still hate Khan even if he fights and beat Thurman. People would say Thurman was a nobody he didn't beat anybody. etc etc, Porter/Brook winner or Guerrero, Thurman should make a name for himself he's unknown to the casual fans yes UNKNOWN.
Who said I hate Khan? If you read my other posts, I said Khan made a believer outta me in the Collazo fight. I was hoping he got to fight Pacquiao. However Pacquiao, Mayweather, Maidana, Porter, and Brook all have fights scheduled. Thurman does not. Guerrero did not look impressive in his last fight, Thurman did! If Porter wins, he stands just as good of a chance to fight Floyd in May as Khan, Cotto, or Canelo. If Khan beats Thurman, I say his chances are 75% that he gets a shot at Mayweather in May.

Khan isn't fighting until December. You know that, right?

Also, to comment on an earlier post, Maidana is better liked and more respected than Khan because he has immeasurable heart and determination. This is not to say that Khan is heartless, just that many fans appropriately feel that Khan never steps up to actually fight the best - Sure Khan talks about fighting the best, but in actuality, he always seem to fight less than ideal opponents.

The general perception is that Khan fights these C-level guys and then thinks he deserves the top spot and thereby should be in a position to fight the top guys.

It is what it is ..... and its undeniable that unanimously fans of the sport believe Khan just hasn't done enough to get a shot at the elite. Add to that perception, the reality that he and his fans seem to come up with all kinds of excuses why potential opponents like Thurman (Who BTW will fight Khan tomorrow) isn't worthy of Khan's time. That's one hell of a conundrum.

He fought Kotelnik, Malignaggi, Maidana, Judah, Peterson and Garcia at 140lbs.

The only guy he didn't fight in that weight class was Tim Bradley who avoided the fight with him.

What he's known for (in the U.S.) is having a weak chin, and losing to Garcia and Peterson, and winning a tough fight with Maidana, and all that as a Jr. Welterweight. He has one decent win at WW, but that is not enough to erase the image. I'm suggesting Thurman because that would silence the critics. Not Guerrero...the Japanese fighter nearly killed him. Not Alexander...Porter already "been there, done that." Not broner...he's 140 and Maidana already handled that. Porter/Brook winner...why would the IBF Welterweight Champ fight the WBC Silver Welterweight champ instead of the official the lineal Welterweight Champion: Floyd Mayweather? That's real business and real talk!
Lol! Thurman would silence Khan, by knocking him TFO! We all know Khan wants to play it safe and B-line it right to Floyd, where he gets a big payday and doesn't get hurt too much. Getting KO'd on the way ruins everything for him. This fight probably wouldn't even be an issue if Floyd hadn't first whet our appetites and then regress.

I do know that, but the Porter/Brook winner might not fight in December in hopes of getting Mayweather in May. Does this scenario sound familiar? Sign up Thurman right now!

Why the hell would he sign to fight Thurman now when he can wait to see what happens with Brook-Porter. It wouldn't be a very smart move. You sound like a premature ejaculator. Just wait till it plays out.
