Byrd was waiting to get out of Don King's contract so he is not screwed again for his money. I think he signed the Wlad fight almost immediately after they announced that he is free from King's claws.

That's exactly what went down too. DKP tried to push this bum Lyk on Byrd and Byrd said "**** this **** I'm out" and signed to fight Wlad without DKP.

Just wanted to se the WBC follow their own rules. Boxing has a set of rules that must be followed, the same goes with the bodies that govern the sport.

Lyk hasnt fought in over a year and I'm ok with a tune up fight but this is just crazy. Like I said, Byrd refused to fight this guy and it was the final straw that broke them (DKP) apart.
