I dont think they should make Cotto-Canelo in November or December. It would be too close to Manny Pacquiao PPV and it would hurt both PPV and Cotto would have less time with Roach.

      Do it in May/June 2015

I could see the handwriting on the wall. Once Mayweather's $200 Million, six fight deal with Showtime is up. I could see him, Haymon and perhaps even Schaefer parting ways with Golden Boy.

De La Hoya has gone absolutely insane to want to sabotage his own company for the promise of fool's gold from Top Rank; Especially in light of the fact, that he along with Al Haymon and Mayweather hold all the cards in the fight game. Currently, Bob Arum's stable is so sparse that he has no leverage to bargain with. Oscar is in the driver's seat and doesn't even seem to realize it. He doesn't appear to understand the real power he wields.

Uncle Bob is trying to make himself more relevant than what he actually is because Oscar doesn't need Top Rank to make a Cotto/Canelo fight. Miguel as a free agent has fought under the banner of Golden Boy Promotions many times without Top Rank's sponsorship.

Cotto gets to decide whether to involve Arum or not, and whether the fight would be on HBO or SHO. He's the A-side in this fight. Cotto seems to prefer doing business with Arum and HBO. He thumbed his nose twice already at GBP/Schaefer. He doesn't seem to mind.

could be he's already in agreement with Floyd for May 15'.. and that's what Floyd is talking about having a big surprise.. him and Showtime knowing this PPV has a high chance of "flopping".. they've already agreed that a fight with manny would bring them right back up..

                could be doe!

That kinda sort of makes some sense, it might be the reason why Arum decided to match Pac up with a slick and crafty boxer like Algieri. I'm not saying Algieri is on the same level as Mayweather but nobody else on the Top Rank roster can prepare Pac for a Floyd fight.

especially when the decline in Paquiao has been noticeable.. could be the steroids and they're trying to cash out on the popularity.. I'm not saying mayweather is still a the top of his game.. just saying Paquiao has declined more..
