Dana White is doing the same thing that Bob Arum is doing. He is using Floyd Mayweather's name to try to sell his PPV events. At best, it is a sign of desperation. At worst, it is pathetic and disturbing.

I remember reading somewhere that if Venus and Serena played male tennis they would've been ranked somewhere around 115-120 in the world... This was in their prime.

Fact is there is a huge difference in a mans strength and overall ability and a woman's strength and overall ability. Street fight ? Idk... What I do know is she'd have to probably take one or two while shooting at Floyd's legs and I can guarantee you she's never been hit as hard as Floyd or any elite 147 pounder would hit her... if it were to happen. No gloves bare knuckle ...
I don't like her chances in the first 10 seconds ... Anything after that I would probably give her the edge.

I agree 100%. Just check their tv ratings and ppv numbers, the fad has died down.

I wouldn't go on an mma site and expect to see boxing headlines. So for the same reason I don't want to log onto BoxingScene and have to read about some mma fighter. Keep that stuff off this site unless it's confined to the proper subforum.

if its bare knuckle and no gloves then she has a very good chance at beating floyd. floyd cant hit that hard without hurting his precious hands. and if its bare knuckle then i would assume its a street fight type so again ronda would just take floyd down and it will be the end of floyd and since dude doesnt even like pussy he cant even finger her or try to eat her out while he's on the ground and everyone knows a street fight turns into grabbing and holding 95% of the time. u can square off and throw a few but once someone connects the other person is gonna rush and hold.

Obviously, he doesn't follow MMA and assumed that the reporter was asking about a fellow boxer. That is the simple explanation, but the haters and nitwits on this site will use anything to justify criticize Floyd.

i didnt know turning on the tv and seeing a commerical on her or flipping thru some boxing/mma magazines and seeing ads of her is consider boxing/mma gossip. but u're right, floyd doesnt waste his time on that. maybe if ronda was a stripper in the pass floyd might know her right?

But why Floyd? He's a pure boxer who relies more on defense. He's not really a FIGHTER. It would make much more sense if it was between Rousey and Pacquiao. Manny does have experience in Muay Thai if I'm not mistaken. That doesn't mean he will automatically defeat her; I'm just saying it's a matchup that makes more sense due to their style, skill level, and willingness to go on attack mode.

In a street fight Floyd would elbow her throat and gouge her eyes out if not stab her with a knife first. In a MMA match Floyd would eventually get subbed but still has the ability to land one big KO shot. In a Boxing match Floyd would put her to sleep in the first round.
