He said 7-5 or 8-4 Lara. 8-4 for either guy is too wide, in my opinion. I had it 7-5 Lara, myself. Whenever I see 116-112 scores for Canelo around here, my regard for that poster's judgement takes a little hit.

      What about the fans?

I for one will not pay $60.00 to see a fight where one guy chases another for 12 rounds. I think Canelo won the fight.

I dont mind Lara's style but at least with Rigo/Floyd if they make you miss they make you pay with a counter most of the time. Lara just made Canelo miss and ran away. How can you win a fight like that? I had it 7-5 for Canelo, and im not a huge fan of either guy.

People are rejoicing the "pleasing" style Canelo brought forth. It makes them happy. It's clear as day Lara outboxed Canelo and it doesn't take a genius to see that.
In the end it's about entertaining the dumb masses, not about living up to the sport's integrity.
shout out to your honesty. boxing is now more about pleasing the masses, its a real shame. after watching the fight for a second time i still scored it 115-113 Lara. my pick into the fight was Lara however i was hoping Canelo could get it done. in the end the fighter with the most upside in terms of money making will always get the nod...reminds me of the Whitaker vs chavez sr decision.

Pathetic and obvious , I'm sure anyone that's on the payroll won't be so blatant in the future .

Good comparison. It's a different age now where you can dissect and people can make their opinions heard immediately. Whitaker clearly won that fight by at least 4 rds. Unfortunately at the time, the excited majority of media darling Chavez refused to acknowledge it.
If you are fan of the sport you will understand Lara clearly won, it was close and not a robbery by any means (beside the BS scroecard), but Lara clearly won.
