I was so hyped for this fight, but after watching this it left a bad taste in my mouth. The dude ran all night long and I hate saying that, I never called someone who sticks and move a runner but this dude really ran. Here I paid for HD when I was tight on cash and this is what I get.

Did he really blow it? I don't doubt that impartial judging might've scored the fight for Canelo anyway, but two of the judges saw it for either fighter by a close margin. The third "judge" brought in a card that literally makes you question the legitimacy of the scoring. Whether he's incompetent or corrupt (and he's surely one of those), his score is garbage. Don't you think that a person with some integrity might've tilted the decision in Lara's favor? Or, if we took your score, the fight would've ended in a draw. I agree that Landy should've been more active, but it would seem that might not have been enough to overcome a stacked deck.

Lara didn't fight with urgency and didn't give a ppv worthy performance. He had a chance to make a name for himself on a big stage in front of a large audience and he didn't deliver.

Because of the way he fought no one wants to see a rematch and no one is going to be clamoring to see Lara again. And I say this as someone who isn't a big fan of Canelo.

You simply can't let these opportunities go to waste.

I had a feeling this would be a boring fight to begin with, But the running Lara put up last saturday was the most running i've seen in recent years. Canelo had to literally sprint to him, thats how bad it was.

Even the cuban on the showtime series leading up to the fight,the guy with his wife inside the resturant told Lara to fight with balls. I bet he was sad to see Lara fight so scared.
