    BoxingScene.com has been advised by multiple sources that Michael "The Artist" Perez (20-1) is under strong consideration be Lucas Matthysse's opponent on September 6th. Our sources have cautioned that contracts have not been signed but an agreement has nearly been reached.

    Golden Boy Promotions is planning a Showtime tripleheader that will also feature Adrien Broner and the return of Andre Berto in separate nights. Brooklyn and San Antonio are the cities most likely to host the event.

      I believe Perez is trained by Garcia now. What I have seen of him though if you take him too deep waters, he will drown. He is sharp and has good power but tired out in his last fight and got overwhelmed by Omar Figueroa. Should make for a good boxer vs brawler type action

              Wtf. This is becomin a joke. Haymon keep doing this. It shud be broner mathysse and danny vs lamont whys he making them fight lightweights. Ive offically given up on showtime if theyagree to air this. They shud be puttin pressue on haymon.

                  I remember when Perez was supposed to beat Omar Figuereo and just wilted badly. Can't imagine him standing the heat against Matthysse. Plus the dude is a 135 pounder. For ****s sake Espinoza.
